Vlychada beach is located on the southern coast of Santorini, just 11 km from the capital of the island. Vlyhada beach is a virgin coastal destination, consists of black sand, it’s organized beaches and it has crystal clear water.
It is attractive due to the Immense white rocks, shaped by the volcanic eruption and create an impressive and natural spectacle. The port of Vlichada that is quite big and busy throughout the summer season as it serves the sailing and excursion boats.
Also in the area you will find the museum of the famous Santorinian tomato. The old tomato factory was turned into a modern Industrial Museum (the Santorini Arts Factory) and offers to its visitors a retrospection of the process of the tomato production, one of the most famous, traditional and distinctive products of Santorini.
The museum’s exhibits include editing machines from 1890, old tools, the first labels, as well as audiovisual material with narratives of people who worked at the factory.
